NEW GLASGOW – John Robert Stewart, 66, of Graham Street, New Glasgow, passed away Monday, August 11th, 2008, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Marguerite Stewart Ackles. John is survived by his wife, the former Vivetta Whyte; sons, John Jr. (Kim), London, ON; Daniel Arthur (Valerie), Trenton; daughters, April Anne (David) Stewart-Joyce, MacLellan’s Brook; Lynette Stewart (Ron), New Glasgow; grandchildren: Danielle, Alex and Tristan; half-sister, Diane (Mark) Nightingale, Scotsburn; half-brother, Vic (Bonnie) Stewart, Orillia, ON. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jessie and Russell Stewart. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. There will be a private committal service held at the Sunny Brae Cemetery with Rev. Don Shephard officiating. Donations in memory of John may be made to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital.
