Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital on June 9, 2008, Hazel Seaward, age 81 years, formerly of Gander and born in Port aux Basques. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 63 years William; sons: Richard (Linda) and Keith (Marilyn); grandchildren: Kimberly, Jonathan, William, Jeffrey and Jessica; brother Eric Vardy (Charlotte), Riverview, N.B.; sister-in-law Frances Vardy, Delphine Emmett (John), Alice Janes (George); brothers-in-law: James Seaward and Absolam Seaward (Joan); many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-12 Noon. Funeral Service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
