BOURQUE, MARY WANDA After a courageous battle with cancer the death of Mary Wanda Bourque of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, May 10th, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Doreen (Turner) Kern and the wife of Abel J. Bourque. Wanda graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1960 and worked at St. Joseph's from 1960 until 1968 as head nurse on the 6th, floor. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Survived by her husband, Abel; two sons, Brian of Fredericton, and Kevin of Paris France; one sister, Margaret Kern of Quispamsis, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Fredericton, Saint John, British Columbia and USA. Predeceased by her parents and one brother, Peter. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday May 13th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish Church on Friday, May 14th, 2004 at 11:00 am. Rev. John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
