LISMORE – K. Dianne MacGillivray, 63, Lismore, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family and friends. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late George Henry and Mary Ellen (MacKenzie) Hayman. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lismore and former member of the Altar Society. Dianne was active with the Lismore Community Centre and Merigomish and District Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Merigomish Mixed Dart League, former member of the Wednesday Morning House Wives Bowling League and the Lismore Sun Risers Soft Ball Team. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Donald Jerome “Donnie” MacGillivray; daughter, Tracey MacGillivray, Moncton; son, Ron MacGillivray, Lismore; grandchildren, Ashley and Dalton; sisters: Mary (John) White, New Glasgow; Barb (Fraser) King, Egerton; Margie (Howard) Atwater, Fraser’s Mountain; brother, Hughie, Calgary, Alta.; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by infant son, Fraser Donald; sisters, Christine, Myrna; brothers: Fred “Sonny”, Webbie, Johnny, Vic and Robert. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Colin MacKinnon presiding. Family flowers only.
