JOHNSTON, BRIAN DOUGLAS The death of Brian Douglas Johnston of Fredericton, husband of Debbie Johnston, occurred at home on Thursday, May 13, 2004, Fredericton, NB. Born in Fredericton he was the son of Bessie (McArthur) Johnston and the late Harvey Johnston. Brian worked for the Department of Transportation and was a member of the Stanley Curling Club, his hobbies included hunting, woodworking and enjoying his grandchildren. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Trevor Johnston (Lori) and three grandchildren, Caitlin, Courtney and Cody Johnston all of Lower Sackville. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Saturday, May 15, 2004 from 2 to 4 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 2 PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Sunny Bank Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Larry O'Leary, Mickey Flanagan, Terry Hazlett, Bill Rickard, Rusty McArthur and Larry MacLean. Honourary Pallbearers include Arthur Munn and Terry Hawkins. For those who wish, remembrances made to Cancer Research or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
