CAMPBELL, PAUL CARLYLE Paul passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmer's Hospital on May 17, 2004 after a protracted illness. Paul is survived by his wife, Connie (McDonald), his children, David (Yellowknife), Karen (Calgary), Fredericka (Calgary), Donna (Fredericton), Kelly (Halifax), his grandchildren, Tara (Fredericton), Kyle (Fredericton) and Jennifer (Olds, AB), and his sister, Joan Daley (Jim) of Fredericton. Paul is pre-deceased by his parents, Frederick E. Campbell and Laura McAloon (Stanley), three sisters, Fredericka Leger of Moncton (Dr. F. Emery), Anne Gallagher of Saint John (Paul), Mary Kelly of Saint John (John), and one brother, Coleman (Fredericton). Paul began his career as Deputy Receiver of Taxes for the City of Moncton in 1953. In 1967, he and his family moved to Woodstock N.B. where he was appointed Revenue Officer for Carleton County. He was subsequently transferred to Fredericton where he retired in 1985, ending his professional life as Supervisor of Property Tax Sales for the Province of New Brunswick. Paul served in the RCAF between 1943 and 1945, and is a past president of the Branch 252 RCAF Lord Beaverbrook Wing. He was active in his community, working at the Community Kitchen, serving on the Board of Directors of the Fredericton Direct Charge CO-OP, and organizing weekly suppers at the RCAF Wing. In retirement, Paul was famous for his love of music (especially at St. Patrick's Day), cooking (his New Year's Eve chili), the enjoyment of good food (and even better Scotch), and his love of laughter. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and neighbours. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Thursday, May 20th, 2004 at 12:00 noon. Monsignor Brian Sheehan as celebrant.
