GEORGE THOMAS YEAMANS

YEAMANS, GEORGE THOMAS Of Fredericton on Sunday, May 23, 2004, due to complications following surgery at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Halifax. Born on December 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Roy and Martha (Langin) Yeamans of Minto. He is survived by his wife Isabel (Donald) and his two sons, Jonathan of Fredericton and Neil of New Hampshire. George will also be missed by his sister, Geraldine Chase of Minto and brothers, Donald (Judy) of Nasonworth; Daniel (Elaine) of Minto; Kendall of Fredericton; as well as aunts, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son, Jason; and brother-in-law Vernon Chase. Following his graduation from Minto High School and Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown, George received his Physical Education and Law degrees from the University of New Brunswick. George enjoyed life, especially his family, friends, music and sports. He was a lawyer, a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, active in the Conservative Party, the Thistle Fishing Club and several service organizations. The family will receive visitors at Bishops Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Thursday evening, May 27, from 7:00 to 9:00 and again on Friday, May 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Greenwood Drive Baptist Church in Barkers Point on Saturday, May 29, at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Arbo officiating. Interment will follow Saturday evening at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Minto. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or a tree planted in George's memory.
