BROWN, MERLA The death of Merla Brown of Windsor Court, Fredericton, NB, occurred at her residence on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2004. Born in Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late Burt and Gertrude Love and wife of the late Carl Brown. Merla was known as an International Host and worked in many of the military international events in areas such as Germany and France. She also excelled in her achievements in the Women's Guild. Survived by her son, Professor Gary Brown, UNB of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Allison Brown Holleman of Australia; two grandchildren, Carl and Naomi; one brother, Garnet Love and one sister, Betty Pollock. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Carl and grandson, Dax Brown. There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on August 31st, 2004 at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the Dax Brown Memorial Fund, would be appreciated.
