HOWLAND, BERNUS EDWARD At the York Manor Nursing Home on June 7, 2004, Bernus E. Howland, age 95, of Fredericton went home to be with his Lord. Born in Mactaquac, NB, he was a son of the late Charles and Susan (Currie) Howland. Bernus was a retired custodian at UNB. He is survived by two sons A. Dow Howland and Merle Howland both of Fredericton; a daughter Darlene Snyder of Fredericton; a grandson Rodney Howland of Fredericton; granddaughters Susan Stoke (Keith) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Angie Snyder (Don Murray) of Fredericton, Kathy Arsenault (Glen) of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Gloria McCoy (James) of Fredericton; five great grandchildren Laura, Carolyn, Penny, Hilary and Shane; brother Joseph (Bessie) of Fredericton; sister Charlotte Currie of Fredericton; several nieces , nephews, and cousins. He was also predeceased by his first wife Muriel; his second wife Ruby; his brother Benjamin and his wife Bessie. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road with visitation Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Olivet Wesleyan Church in Marysville with Pastor Tom Ward and Rev. Lona Johnston officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
