COLWELL, GERALD The death of Gerald Edward Colwell of Durham Bridge, husband of Bernice (Woodworth) Colwell, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 9, 2004. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late David Hanford and Mary Elizabeth (Tebo) Colwell. Mr. Colwell was retired from the Canadian National Railroad. Besides his wife, Gerald is survived by daughter Marie Brewster (Warren) of Kingsley NB; step-daughters Dorothy Gourley (Byron) of Pennfield NB and Sharon Thomas of Marysville NB; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and niece Eleanor Hutchinson. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Kenneth Colwell. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Saturday June 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will he held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday June 13th at 2 PM. Rev. Hazel Morris -Harvey will officiate. Reception to follow in the fireside room. Interment will be held at the Taymouth Community Cemetery, Taymouth NB. Pallbearers will be Byron Gourley III, Derek Thomas, Tony Floyd, Timmy Boyd, Matthew Hatt and Fred Hutchinson.
