PHILIP ARNOLD WILSON

WILSON, PHILIP ARNOLD Philip A. Wilson of Zealand passed away June 12, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Burtts Corner on August 25, 1947, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Beatrice (Griffiths) Wilson. Philip loved to sing and write and play music. He enjoyed the great outdoors and spending time helping his family and friends. He is survived by his common-law wife and caretaker, Betty Brewer; a step-son, Steven Brewer (Nicole), Silverwood; two step-daughters, Tammy and Pammy Brewer, both of Burtts Corner; two grandchildren, Laura Lynn and Dylan Vaughan; a brother, Larry Wilson (Diane), Zealand; his mother-in-law, Verna Randall, Zealand; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilson, Zealand; two nephews, Lyle Wilson (Nathalie) and Sheldon Wilson, both of Zealand; a niece, Melanie Wilson (Peter), Zealand and two great nieces, Melissa and Natasha Wilson. Philip was predeceased by a brother, Dale Wilson and his father-in-law and good friend, Vaughan Randall. Resting at the Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Arol Brewer officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Philip, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Brewer, Carter Gallagher, Gary Price, Darren Brewer and John Harper. Active pallbearers will be Randy Moss, Paul Griffiths, Wayne Griffiths, Lyle Wilson, Sheldon Wilson and Keith Millican.
