Leona Anne Holley

Holley, Leona Anne, 50, of Bridge Ave, Stellarton, passed away at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Yvonne (Sutherland) Young. Leona was a volunteer at the Stellarton Legion and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the 110 Wing, Stellarton. Her world revolved around her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Tanya (Vincent) Conway, Lorne; Leanne (Ruebuen) Taylor and Dawn (Jarret) Campbell, both of Stellarton; son, Brandon at home; chosen daughter, Cheryl Taylor, Trenton; grandchildren: Austin and Benjamin, Emma and Maggie; special friend, Evelyn MacLeod, Trenton; brother, Stephen, Stellarton; sisters: Margaret (Bill Long) McDavid, Lourdes; Brenda (Gordon) McGregor, Big Island; Cathy Young, Priestville; Delores (Bill) Bragg, St. Thomas, ON; Valerie (Richard) Tucker, Abercrombie; Tracie (Pat) Delaney, New Glasgow. She was predeceased by brother, Tommie and nephew, Bradly. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday from Our Lady Of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Leona may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Palliative Care Society.
