HAROLD SKINNER

SKINNER, HAROLD Of Arthurette, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on the evening of June 28, 2004. Born in Arthurette, he was the son of the late Charles and Edna (Gallop) Skinner. He leaves behind his wife Melissa (Wright) Skinner; his children, Suzanne (Mark) Jobin of Bloomfield, Sandra Glenn) Tremblay of Fredericton, Jennifer (Rollie) Sappier of Fredericton, Peter (Wendy) Skinner of Arthurette, David (Brenda) Skinner of California; sisters, Emily Sirois of Fort Fairfield, Maine, Kay (Morris) Smith of North Bay, Ontario; his brother, Ronald (Rae) Skinner of Perth-Andover; a sister in law, Gean Dixon, of Limestone, Maine .10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also survived by his best friend and pet dog, Mocha. He was predeceased by his daughter, Janice Skinner and brothers, Jack and Gene Skinner. Harold operated a service station in Arthurette for 40 years. He also grew Christmas trees in the area for over 32 years. He received a wood lot management award for his Christmas tree growing skills. Harold loved nature and the outdoors. He would never passup the opportunity to go out hunting or fishing. Harold was a Veteran of World War II, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #85, a member of the Perth-Andover Elks Club, a member of the Perth-Andover Masonic Lodge and a member of the RCMP auxillary. At Harold's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Helen's Anglican Cemetery in Licford. For those who wish, donations to St. Helen's Anglican Church Building Fund or to the Victoria County SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
