STELLARTON - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of the late Lester Brehaut Graham, age 82 of Northwood Center, Halifax, and formerly of Stellarton, who passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2007, in Northwood Center. Born May 6, 1925, in Gaspereaux, P.E.I, Lester was a son of the late Jerome and Annie (Creed) Graham. Lester was a resident of Northwood Center for the past four and a half years and had previously lived in Stellarton for most of his life. He attended the school for the deaf in Halifax in his early years. Lester had been employed with Picoda Dairy in Stellarton and later became a dedicated employee of the Town of Stellarton from where he retired in 1990 with 42 years' service. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Left to mourn are his sister, Shirley Muir of Alberta; a special niece, June Vaughan, special nephew, Norman (Judy) Graham also special extended family Robert and Audrey Silver, all of Eastern Passage. Also other nieces, nephews and friends. Lester was predeceased by brothers: Leo, Raymond and James. His remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, for visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6. Cremation will follow with a memorial service held from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, with Father Francis Cameron officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Lester may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church or to a charity of one's choice.
