DEAP, DONNA MAE After a courageous battle with cancer, Donna Mae Deap passed away peacefully at the Elizabeth Bruyere Center in Ottawa on June 19,2004. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her mother Loretta (Deap) Birch, sister Barb (Rich Gilliss), brother Dan, nephews Phillip and David Deap , Chris, Jeff and Jason Gilliss, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father George (Duke) Deap, stepfather John (Jack) Birch, maternal and paternal grandparents. Born in Fredericton on July 29, 1943, Donna graduated from Fredericton High School and New Brunswick Teachers' College. Following a teaching career of several years in New Brunswick and Ontario, Donna's recent years were spent as a document archivist in the Ottawa area. Funeral service was held in Ottawa. A private burial took place at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Fredericton with Monsignor Brian Sheehan of St. Dunstan's officiating.
