COLE, JEAN ETTA (LASKEY) At home, surrounded by her loving family, after a strong courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, Jean Etta (Laskey) Cole, 64 years of age. Survived by husband Freeman Edward Cole, sons Leonard (Doreen) Cole and Larry Cole, all of Upper Salmon Creek; by brothers Fred (Jean) Laskey and Garnet (Pearl) Laskey each of Chipman; by sisters Laura (Hugh) Morton, Doris Hann, each of Chipman, Bessie Stewart of Minto and Margaret O'Quinn, of BC; by several nieces and nephews and by grandpuppy "Little Rascal". Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Ethel (Johnston) Laskey; by brothers Archibald and Oscar Laskey. Resting at Chipman Funeral Home, (339-6612) until Saturday when funeral service will be held from the Salmon Creek United Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Branscombe officiating. Interment in the Second Chipman United Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Salmon Creek United Baptist Church or to the Extra Mural Program, would be appreciated by the family.
