REID, EVELYN (McDIARMID) The death of Evelyn (McDiarmid) Reid of Fredericton, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 8, 2004. Born at Glasgow, Scotland on October 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Arthur McDiarmid and the late Frances McGoldrick. Evelyn had retired from the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel after 28 years of service in the Accounting Office. She is survived by her loving family, husband William; one daughter, Jacqueline; one son, Stephen and daughter-in-law Anna; one brother, Edward; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by one son, Anthony and two brothers, Arthur and Frank. A memorial service for Evelyn and her mother Frances McGoldrick will take place at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Charlotte Street on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 2 PM with Rev. Doug Blaikie officiating. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Interment will take place in Glasgow Scotland at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
