JEAN PARRISH TRAFTON

TRAFTON, JEAN PARRISH The passing of Jean P. Trafton of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the age of 82. Born in Linneus, Maine, she was the daughter of the Late William and Annie (Parrish) Stewart, and wife of Rev. Norman E. Trafton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Jean retired as Registrar with Bethany Bible College, Sussex, NB, where she worked for 21 years. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane, and a member of the Berean Ladies Bible Studies as well as being active in the Senior Group at the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ, where her husband serves as associate pastor. Jean was noted for her kind and friendly demeanor toward everyone she met. Survived by her husband of 14 years, Rev. Norman E. Trafton, stepchildren, Norma Cliff (Wayne), Betty Young (Keith), all of Fredericton, Robert Trafton (Marti) of Sussex, and Debby Riley (Jim) of Fredericton. 10 stepgrandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13th, from 2 to 4 And 7 to 9 from the First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane. Funeral Service will be held from the church on Wednesday, 3 PM with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating, assisted by Pastor Graham Crandall of the Church of Christ, Burtt's Corner. Interment will be held in the Olivet Wesleyan Church Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Bethany Bible College or charity of the donor's choice. www.bishopsfuneralhome.
