MEADE, D. ISABEL The passing of D. Isabel Meade occurred at Mill Cove Nursing Home on Friday, July 9, 2004. Born at Lower Jemseg, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Sadie (Mott) Young. She was Baptist by faith. Isabel attended school in Lower Jemseg, Gagetown Grammer School and the Normal School in Fredericton. She completed her post education studies at U.N.B. She taught at various country schools and retired from Summer Hill School in Oromocto where she was teaching grade four. Following her retirement, she was a follower of the Saturday Night Fiddlers, enjoyed doing crafts with the NB Retired Teachers, was a great fan of square dancing and loved country driving. She was a member of the NB Teachers Federation. She is survived by a son Terry and wife Susan of Happy Valley, Goose Bay-Labrador; a brother Bruce Young of Jemseg; a sister-in-law Janette Young of Jemseg; nieces and nephews. Also survived by two special sisters-inlaw, Helen Sharp and Christina Meade. Predeceased by her parents, a brother Manford and a sister Greta. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Gerald Matthews will officiate. Private interment in the Lower Jemseg Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Jemseg Cemetery would be appreciated.
