RICHARD KING

KING, RICHARD Richard King of Fredericton Junction, NB, died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 10, 2004 at the age of 73. Dick is survived by his wife and best friend Carol Edith (Nason) King, one daughter Barbara Jean Messervey of Nova Scotia, one son Richard King of Nova Scotia, two step-sons Lindsay Smith of Central Blissville and Jody Smith of Moncton, special cousin Shirley Blatchford of Ontario, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and several sisters and brothers-in-law. Dick retired from the Provincial Government where he was employed as a Construction Estimator Manager. He was very active in the community, he was a member of the Capital Winter Club, Gladstone Curling Club, Ambulance Board, Kiwanis Club, Come Home Week Committee, and he served on the Village Council. Dick was an avid guitarist who enjoyed playing with several groups in the area. He is predeceased by his parents Blanche (Bint) and Richard King. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 14, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be from Saint Columba Catholic Church, Fredericton Junction on Thursday, July 15 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Gladstone Cemetery. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to Fredericton Junction Ambulance Service. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB, (368-2413).
