Lloyd Garnet Hoeg age 75 of Lorne Street, New Glasgo,w passed away on Sunday, November 25th, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Truro he was a son of the late Garfield and Mable (Gower) Hoeg. Lloyd was a resident of New Glasgow for the past 10 years. During his working life he worked as a long-haul trucker. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Nathan and Taylor Cromwell. Surviving are his wife the former Marlene Hill. Children: Cathy (Bobby) Lake of Truro; Bonnie (Terry) Higgins of Trur;o David (Kathy) Hoeg of Brampton, Ont.; Ronnie (Karen) Hoeg of Etobicoke, Ont.; Stepchildren: Cathy Fraser of Antigonish; Lisa Fraser (RobE) of Little Harbour; Sheldon (Krystal) Fraser of Red Deer, Alberta; Donnie Fraser of Hopewell; 11 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; sisters; Muriel Campbell of Mississauga, Ont.; Helen (Mel) Tower of River Herbert; Rita Gould of Amherst; brother, Aubrey (Pearl) Hoeg of Amherst; sister-in-law Dorothy Hoeg of River Herbert; daughter –in-law Sheila Hoeg of New Glasgow. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Charlie Hoeg; grandson Trevor Ferguson; twin great grandsons Cameron and Christopher Hoeg and a brother Garfield Hoeg. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7to 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, from where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Heather Landry officiating. Cremation to follow, with burial in the Glen Bard Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Columba United Church Building Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
