MERRITT, JOYCE BEULAH (DONOVAN) The death of Joyce Beulah (Donovan) Merritt of Douglas, wife of the late Harold Merritt occurred on July 19, 2004 at her home. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Faye (Buchanan) Donovan. Mrs. Merritt is survived by four daughters, Brenda Sowers (Bill) of Burtt's Corner, NB, Linda MacKay (Sam) of Orlando, FL, Donna Quinn (Kenneth) of Brandenton, FL, and Debbie Martin (Bob) of McLeod Hill, NB; three grandchildren, Jason Brewer (Lorinda) of Burtt's Corner, Shane Martin (Valerie) of Fredericton and Stacey Montalvo (John) of Toronto, ON; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Verdun Donovan of Fredericton; one sister, Audrey Clements (Don) of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Alden and Austin Donovan; two sisters, Eileen MacArthur and Dordy Tabor; and one grandson, Jody Brewer. Although there will be no visitation, a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 11 am from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be held in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery for both Harold and Joyce Merritt.
