MARTIN, EDWARD CLARENCE The sudden passing of Edward Clarence Martin of Fredericton, mate of expecting mother Laura Burton occurred on Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Leo Joseph and Doreen (MacDonald) Martin. Edward was a self-employed car dealer. Besides his mate, he is survived by one son, Edward "Butch" Martin Jr. (Mandy) of Durham; four daughters, Peggy "Buffy" Martin (Ben), Ashley Ward, Paige Martin and Kari McCoy all of Fredericton; seven grandchildren, Codi, Jesse, Brennon, Brooke, Cole, Brandy and Brianna; four brothers, Leo Martin (Sandra) of Fredericton, Robert "Bobby" Martin (Kathy) of Lake George, Romeo Martin and Bufflo Martin of NB; four sisters, Mae Martin, Joyce Martin (Kenny Lyons), Charlene Martin, and Freda McMitchell all of Lethbridge, Alberta; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by two brothers, Ronnie and Clarence. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Monday, July 26th from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, July 27th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 28th, 2004 at 2 pm from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be held St. Anthony's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
