M. Lorne Code, 83, Truro, passed away January 4, 2009, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in South River, Ontario, he was a son of the late Robert and Susan (Bottomley) Code. During the Second World War he served overseas in the R.C.A.F. as a tailgunner. After the war, Lorne earned a degree in mining engineering and worked for Atlas Copco for 39 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Session and Board of Managers. He is survived by his wife, Isabel (MacKay), Truro; sons, Robert (Inge), Guelph, ON, and Brian (Indra), Ajax, ON. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8th, from 1-2 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm, in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, with Rev. Dr. Brian Ross officiating. Interment at a later date in Earltown Village Cemetery.
