DAKIN, ROBERT WAY The death of Robert Wayne Dakin of Oromocto, NB occurred on Wednesday, August 11th, 2004 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in North Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Helena (Kendall) Dakin and husband of Vera (Parsons) Dakin. Survived by his wife, Vera of Oromocto; three sons, Robert (Carolyn) of Lincoln, NB, David of Nasonworth, NB and Blair (Kimberly) of Oromocto, NB; two daughters, Angela Henderson (Donald) of Oromocto, NB and Elaine Davenport (Blair) of Noonan, NB; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; one brother, Sam Clark (Mary) of North Sydney, NS; four sisters, Ruth Adair of North Sydney, NS, Edna Porter - Dakin of Elliot Lake, ON, Helena Mason (Philip) and Dorothy Bungay both of Toronto, ON and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Cecil and Ronald and one sister, Elva. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, August 13th, 2004 from 7-9 pm. The Black Watch will hold a tribute service at the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Baptist Church on Saturday, August 14th, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Norman Woodworth officiating with Rev. Robert Weaver assisting.
