McKEOWN, EDWARD The death of Edward McKeown of Fredericton, husband of the late Beulah (Robinson) McKeown occurred on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Belfast, Ireland, he was the son of the late William and Sarah McKeown. Mr. McKeown was a Veteran of World War II. He was a Life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Marysville and loved music and enjoyed dancing. Mr. McKeown is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Brian) Kennedy of Lower Sackville, NS and Judy (Wayne) Hamm of Edmonton, AB; a special friend, Kay Marshall; four grandchildren, Amanda O'Connell, Natasha Kennedy, Jodi Millar and Jared Hamm; two great grandchildren, Alex O'Connell and Alivia O'Connell; one sister, Dorothy Moores of Trenton, ON; four brothers, Bob (Ellen) of Saint John, NB, David (Nadine) of Fredericton, Jimmy (Shirley) of Fredericton and Victor (Linda) of Fredericton; a brother-in-law, Sam Robinson (Helen) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Sadie McKeown and one brother, William McKeown. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Sunday, August 15, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Marysville Branch will hold a tribute service on Sunday evening at 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2004 at 11 am from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating. Interment will follow in the Olivet Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Fredericton, NB.
