WOOD, ARTHUR ROWAN The passing of Arthur Rowan Wood, husband to Dawn (Murdock) Wood, of Fredericton, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton on Monday, August 23, 2004. Born in 1936 in Lakeville Corner he was a son of the late John Greer and Bessie Wood. Mr. Wood worked as a Pipe Fitter for Base Gagetown. He was a loving, caring father and enjoyed his time with friends and family. Besides his wife Dawn he is survived by four sons, John Wood (Ardith) of Calgary AB, Art Wood (Tammy) of Penniac NB, Brian Wood (Claire) of Fredericton NB and Randy Wood (Monique) of Noonan, NB; three daughters, Debbie Arbeau (Randy) of Fredericton NB, Brenda Noble (Mark) of Rusagonis NB and Shelly Symonds (Clint) of Fredericton NB; one specialdaughter, Juliette Chase of Fredericton NB; four brothers, Chuckie Wood (Ellen) of Fredericton NB, Johnny Wood (Bonnie) of Canmore AB, Frankie Wood (Mary) of Lakeville Corner NB and Johnny Greer of Fredericton NB; six sisters, Betty Fairley (Ken) of Fredericton NB, Anna Carson (Don) of Moncton NB, Marion Meloche of Fredericton NB, Mae Ross of Brampton ON, Elizabeth and Judy of Fredericton; thirteen grandchildren, Krista, Beth, Robert, Tasha, Danica, Sarah, Kyle, Nathan, Matthew, Zachary, Emaleigh, Bradly and Chloe; four great grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Bailey, Madison and Tara, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by one sister, Vera Beck and one grandson Tyler. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, August 25 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, August 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 2 pm . Pallbearers for the service will be John Wood, Art Wood, Brian Wood, Randy Wood, Randy Arbeau and Clint Symonds. Honourary pallbearers will be: Rodney Goodine, Guy Carroll, John Taylor and Mark Noble. Interment will take place at the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery, Fredericton.
