CAMERON, JAMES GORDON The passing of Gordon Cameron occurred at the Gagetown Nursing Home on Sunday, September 5, 2004 at the age of 92. He had been a resident of Woolastook Manor since 1981. Gordon was born in Lower Gagetown, Queens County, NB, son of the late James Cameron and Mabel (Fox) Cameron. He had 41 years service as a rural mail courier. Upon retiring he was main operator on the Gagetown Ferry. Gordon is survived by five children, Hazen (Betty) Cameron of Gagetown, Pauline (Foster) Phillips of Lincoln, John (Colleen) Cameron of Fredericton, Bonnie (Les) Logan of Fredericton and Kevin Cameron of Germany; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; also survived by one brother Roy Cameron of Gagetown. Gordon was predeceased by his wife Frances Marie (Snell) Cameron; a daughter Marilyn; a son Paul and sisters Stella Gertrude Parker and Loretta (Reta) Hughes. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harold Sparkes officiating followed by interment in the Upper Hampstead Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Dwayne and Allan Cameron, Glendon and Shawn Warman, Vaughn Ashburne and Mark Bruce.
