LYONS, STEVEN FRANK The death of Steven Frank Lyons of Steven Frank Lyons husband of Linda (Russell) of Charters Settlement occurred on Sunday, September 12, 2004, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in McNamee he was a son of the late Lloyd and Grace (Stewart) Lyons. Steven moved to Fredericton in 1965 to work at Hartt Shoe Factory for a number of years and then as a janitor at George Street School; the last thirty years he was self employed as a carpenter. Steven was know as an outdoor person spending most weekends on the Miramichi fishing, hunting, picking fiddleheads and berries. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife Steven is survived by one son, Brent (Kim) of Fredericton; one daughter, Connie Lynn (Rick) Lyons of Fredericton; three brothers, Harold and Elva of Fredericton, Marven and Valerie of New Bandon, Richard and Pat of Carroll's Crossing; two sisters, Mavis (Jerry) Munn of Bloomfield Ridge, Anna (George) of New Bandon; five grandchildren, Ericca, Matthew, Jeremy, Justin and Dylan; several nieces and nephews. Steven was predeceased by one sister-in-law, Janice Lyons. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 15, at 2 pm from New Maryland United Church with the Rev. Bill MacLeod officiating. An interment will follow the service in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Maryland United Church would be appreciated by the family.
