MacLellan's Brook Road - Margaret Jean MacDonald, 81, of MacLellan's Brook Road, Pictou County died July 18, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Anderson's Mountain, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Mildred Florence (Gordon) Swain. She had been a resident of New Glasgow and MacLellan's Brook Road most of her life. She was a member of the Munroe Avenue Baptist Church, New Glasgow. Surviving are a son, Forrest (Betty), Trenton; chosen daughter, Charlane (Mike) Kelly, White Hill; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Daniel), Westville; Shawn (Debbie), New Glasgow; Cynthia (Richard), Cold Lake, Alberta; Allan, Trenton; Vincent (Barbara) Hopewell; and Jeffery (Margie) Hopewell; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen "Kaye" (Edwin) MacLean, MacLellan's Brook Road; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Forrest; a son, David; a daughter, Deborah Coady; a brother, Sydney Swain; a foster brother, Sydney O'Hara; sisters, Dorothy Green and Hilda in infancy. Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from the Munroe Avenue Baptist Church, New Glasgow, with Pastor Jerry Stearns officiating. Burial will be in the Castle Hill Cemetery.
