Dickie, Marion Estelle, 77 of River Street, Stellarton died Sunday December 14, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Riverton, Pictou County she was a daughter of the late Chalmers and Della (Corbett) MacKay. Marion was a resident of Stellarton all of her life where she was an adherent of Sharon St. John United Church. Surviving are daughters: Cathy (Stephen) Nickerson,Westville; Mildred (David) Scott, Lower Sackville; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Lovetta, brothers, Doug (June), Riverton; Wilbur, Stellarton ;a sister Joyce Peterson, Waterville. She was predeceased by her husband, Guy Dickie. Cremation to take place. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie funeral home, Stellarton from where a memorial service will be held 10am Thursday with Captain Jim Sinclair officiating. Burial of ashes will take place in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada.
