CHAMBERS, JOHN HAROLD The passing of John Harold Chambers occurred on Sunday, October 17th, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was 90. Born in Newcastle NB, he was the son of the late James and Nellie (O'Brien) Chambers. A World War II veteran, he was a retired civil servant and was a very avid musician having played in the Militia Band while in the service, as well as the Burtt's Corner Brass Band. Survived by two daughters; Kathleen Chambers of Fredericton, Susan McKinley (Robert) of Fredericton, two sons, Robert Chambers (Sheila) of Maple Ridge BC and John Chambers (Janet) of Edmonton, Alberta, four brothers, Gerald, Byron and Donald of Newcastle NB and Walter (Geraldine) of Kalona, BC. 1 sister, Elizabeth Gillies (Bruce) of Edmonton Alberta, two sisters-in-law, Helen Kane and Doreen Jones of Saint John NB, and 1 brotherin-law, Ken Ayer of Saint John NB. Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and special friends. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Edith (Totten) Chambers, four brothers; James, Robert, Michael and Patrick, as well as two sisters Margaret and Katherine. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, were visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 2-4, and 7-9 PM, with the funeral service on Thursday at All Saints Anglican Church in Marysville, at 11 AM with Rev. Elaine Hamilton officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. A reception is to follow in the church hall.
