EMBLETON, MYRTLE VERNETTA The passing of Myrtle Vernetta Embleton, age 84, of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 26, 2004. Born in Bear Island, NB she was a daughter of the late Leverett and Julia (Wetmore) Gunter and wife of the late Russell Embleton. Myrtle was employed, in her working years, with the Department of Agriculture for the Province of NB. She was a member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church and very active in the missionary group. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir for a number of years. She is survived by her children Linda Lee Carroll of Fredericton; Brian Embleton of Fredericton; five grandchildren Leanne Chu, Erin Carroll, Kadelyn McCarty, Kari Embleton and Ryan Embleton; five great grandchildren Matthew Henderson, Tamsyn Chu, Elijah McCarty, Sawyer McCarty and Benjamin Chu; one sister Mary Embleton of Fredericton; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by brothers Harold Gunter, Edison Gunter and a sister Irene Lightbody. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, with visitation on Thursday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Friday October 29, 2004 at 11:00 am with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. Interment to follow in the Bear Island Cemetery.
