Stellarton : Mary Ellen Cyr age 78 of Riverbank Street, Stellarton passed away on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Pictou she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Cheverie) Gaudet. Mary was a resident of Stellarton for the past 40 years. She was a former employee of Clairetone and retired from Wear Well Garments. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband Harry Daughters: Beverley (Charles) d’Entremont of Abercrombie Susan (Bill) Halliday of Saltsprings Son: David (Charlene) Cyr of Eastern Passage 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren sisters; Margaret (Bill) Withers of Truro Eileen (Art) Worth of Lantz She was predeceased by a son, James, and two children in infancy brothers: Leonard, Robert; George Francis and George William in infancy A private family visitation for family and extended family will be held on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. A private family service will be held in the funeral home chapel 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital.
