Mildred Blanche "Bing" Lynch

PICTOU - Mildred Blanche "Bing" Lynch, 96, of the Shiretown Apartments, formerly of Palmerston St., Pictou, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Moncton, N.B., she was a daughter of the late George and Emma (Jones) McClintock. She was employed in her early years by T. Eaton Co. in Moncton, and later worked many years at Thompson & Sutherland Hardware in Pictou. She was a communicant at St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, where she taught Sunday School, served on the Altar Guild, assisted with Junior Auxiliary, and was an active participant in several women's groups. She is survived by sons, A.W. "Bill" Lynch (Eleanor), of Fredericton, N.B.; and Michael Lynch (Betty), of Redmondville, N.B.; daughter, Patricia Brunel, of Florida; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Marjorie MacManus, Eleanor Steeves, both of Ontario; and Grace MacLean of New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, O.C. "Red" Lynch; and sister, Dorothy MacDonald. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday from St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, with Rev. Cathy Laskey officiating. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery. A reception will follow in the St. James Parish Hall. Please, family flowers only. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Memorial Fund, or to a charity of one's choice.
