STELLARTON - Mildred Janet Dorrington, age 86, of 128 Hudson Street, Stellarton, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2007, in the QEII Halifax Infirmary, Halifax. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Allison and Annie (Baker) Sangster. Mildred was a resident of Stellarton since 1939. She was a member of the Sharon St. John United Church. Mildred enjoyed travelling and playing cards with friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are her husband, William (Bill) Harvey; daughters, Janet Munsie, Carolyn Wallace, both of Stellarton; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Graham (Duke) Sangster, Stellarton; a sister, Lola Chisholm, Stellarton. Mildred was predeceased by her first husband, Aubrey Dorrington; brothers, Lloyd and Robert Sangster. Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, for visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday from where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Roy officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Mildred may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund, the Pictou Co. SPCA or to a charity of one's choice.
