NEW GLASGOW – Murray Godfrey Wade, 83, Glen Haven Manor, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away October 14, 2007 in the manor. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Harold and Annie (Blanck) Wade. Murray loved his daughters. He was a resident of Dartmouth before moving to New Glasgow in 1965. Murray was a member of First United Baptist Church in New Glasgow. He was a retired manager with Maritime Tel & Tel retiring after 37 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving are his daughters, Brenda (Adrian) Wright, Vancouver; Peggy Susan Aitchison, Tatamagouche; grandchildren: Laura and Jake Aitchison, Steven Wright. Special thanks to niece, Joy Colpron, J. F. and Emile. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Glen Haven Manor whose service was A1. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura Louise “Lou” (Knowles); brothers, John and Harold. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by the request of the deceased. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
