The death of Nellie Evelena Cameron occurred at the Valley View Villa, Riverton on October 18, 2008. She was born at Cherry Hill Nova Scotia on April 5, 1910, daughter of the late Andrew and Mamie (Conrad) Grey. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell, a longstanding member of Harmony Chapter No. 25, Order of the Eastern Star, Stellarton, past member of Silver Light Rebekah Lodge No. 79, Hopewell, and both junior and senior church guilds of Hopewell. Nellie is survived by sons, Sandy (Jean) Cameron, Hopewell; William (Winifred) Cameron, Trafalgar; sister, Madge Dalton, Brooklyn, Queens Co.; grandsons, Richard Cameron, Hopewell, Stephen (Jean) Cameron, Trenton, granddaughters, Andrea (Mike) Cameron, Hopewell; Alison (Neil) Reaume, Ottawa, Heather (Ryan) Thomson, Rocklin, great-grandchildren: Kyle Cameron, Veronica and Evan Reaume, Liam and Jack Thomson. Besides her parents Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Alex W. Cameron, brothers: Johnnie, Grafton, William, Elmer and sisters: Bessie Grey, Daisy Clark, Viola Williams and Sadie MacLaren. Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008, from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008, with Rev. Gary Tonks officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hopewell Cemetery Fund.
