PYNE, GRETA M. At her residence on Sunday, January, 23rd, 2005: Greta Myrtle (Doherty) Pyne, beloved wife of Oswald "Ossie" Pyne of 6 Diggle Drive, Quispamsis, NB. Born in Chipman, NB she is the daughter of the late John & (Lelia) Doherty Bishop, step daughter of Claude Bishop. She was an avid reader, gardener and a wonderful cook. She operated the first Bake Shop in the valley in the 1960's. Greta was a past member of Riverside & Hampton Curling Club, and the Hampton Golf Club, a member of the Rothesay Baptist Church, and a member of the Morning Addition Club and Club 60. Surviving in addition to her husband Ossie of 67 years, devoted mother of three daughters Elsie Hanson (Ernie), Iris Down (David), and Margo Ann Lett (Grady), nine grandchildren, Tracy Scott, Peter and Paul Hanson, Heather Haynes, Shane Tayes, Joel and Stephanie Down and Kyral and Mia Lett, nine great grandchildren, Kevin Trevor and Brennan Scott, Devon and Katie Hanson, Jenna and Jacob Hanson, Samuel and Charles Haynes, sisters Pearl Rogers, Alberta Bishop, Hazel Mowatt, Shirley Clark and Bernice Smith. Greta was predeceased by two grandsons, Darren Hanson and Jason Lett, brothers Purdy, Alfred, Hubert, and Leslie, one sister Juanita Pyne. Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB (506 - 849 - 1702) from where the visitation will be held on Monday from 7 - 9 pm and on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January, 26th, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Rothesay Baptist Church. A reception will immediately follow in the church fellowship room. The interment will take place later in the spring in Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman, NB.
