LONG, MAURICE LLOYD The death of Maurice Lloyd Long of Ludlow, husband of Mona (Hovey) Long occurred on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Ludlow, NB, he was a son of the late Milton and Caroline (Clark) Long. Mr. Long was Co-operator of Hovey's Corner Store in Ludlow, NB. He served in the Canadian Army overseas during the Second World War, was a Past President and member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78, Boiestown, member of the Landmark Lodge #51, Shriner member and a member of the Ludlow United Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Long is survived by one son, Peter A. Long (Deborah) of Quispamsis; one daughter, Marcia Jeans (Stephen) of Haneytown, NB; two grandchildren, Brittani and Keegan; two brothers, Reginald Long of Boiestown and Baden Long (Mavis) of Ludlow; one sister, Verna MacDonald of Boiestown; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Aubrey and Ora Long. Visitation will be held at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Sunday, January 3, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78, Boiestown will hold a tribute service on Sunday at 7 pm followed by a Masonic Tribute Service. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 2 pm from the Ludlow Baptist Church, Ludlow, NB with Rev. David Egers officiating and Rev. Cole Price assisting. Interment will be in the Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
