DUNPHY, FLOYD THOMAS The death of Floyd Thomas Dunphy of Maple Grove, NB, husband of Connie (Belyea) Dunphy occurred on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Otto and Dora (Foreman) Dunphy. Mr. Dunphy was employed with CN Railway for 27 years then with the Province of New Brunswick as a Storekeeper and retired in 1992. He was a Member of Fish and Game, Board of Trade, Progressive Conservative Party, Stanley Fire Department, and helped start Nashwaak Curling Club. Mr. Dunphy was a member of the St. Thomas Anglican Church where he held many positions. In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by one son, Tom Dunphy (Caroll) of Stanley; three daughters, Dianne MacLeod (Stephen) of Burtt's Corner, Bonnie Harding (Ken) of Woodlands and Joan Dunphy (Doug) of McLeod Hill; nine grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Dunphy (Velma) of Boiestown and one sister, Ina Dassett (Garnet) of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Dunphy was predeceased by an infant child, two brothers, Walter and Marvin Dunphy. Although there will be no visitation, a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 2 pm from the St. Thomas Anglican Church, Stanley, NB with The Rev'd Ranall Ingalls officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Vincent Merritt, Ronald Merritt, Ned Doherty, John McGillvray, Donald Dunphy, Reid Merritt and Lester Foreman. Interment will be held in the St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery at a later date. A Reception to follow in the church basement. For those who wish, in Lieu of Flowers, remembrances to the St. Thomas Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
