(nee Kelly) Passed peacefully away June 6, 2008, at Nelson, BC, Mary Agnes Pearen in her 70th year. Born April 25, 1939, in St. John's, NL, Mary was predeceased by her husband Reg (1991); and by her parents, Bride (Coady) and Bill Kelly of St. John's (1977 and 1978 respectively). She will be sadly missed by her loving sons: Dave of Calgary, AB and Andy of Nelson. Mary also leaves to mourn her brother Kevin, and his wife Sheila of Danvers, Massachusetts; her sisters: Sheila, and her husband Bill Gushue of St. John's; Helen, and her husband Bob Kieley of Kelligrews; Ann, (the late Jim O'Rourke) of Corner Brook; Patricia, and her husband Eric Cogswell of Burlington, ON; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins; and her dear friends of the Nelson Jubilee Manor. The family would like to thank the staff of the Jubilee Manor for their exceptional care of Mary during her two-year stay. Although a stroke in 2006 debilitated her verbally and physically, Mary recovered enough to participate fully and with much joy and contentment in the daily life of Jubilee Manor. With typical selfless determination, Mary's brief, final illness did not prevent her from being able to communicate a last gracious goodbye to those she loved, and who loved her in return.
