ZIMMERMAN, MABEL IRENE The death of Mabel Irene Zimmerman, wife of the late Edgar Zimmerman occurred on February 23rd, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB. She was the daughter of the late Esli and Ethel Gilmore. Mabel resided at Colford Senior Care Home, where she received excellent care. She was employed by Shute & Company Jewelry Store and Vey's Import Shop and was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Marysville NB. Mabel enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting. She is survived by one son, John (Marge) Zimmerman of Fredericton, NB; two grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Zimmerman; one brother, Clarence Gilmore of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, George and James Gilmore. Visitation will take place Thursday, February 24th, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 25th, 2005 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Canon T.A. Smith officiating. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the charity of the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.
