BROWN, JOHN DONALD "DON" John Donald "Don" Brown of Nevers Road, passed away peacefully February 25th, 2005, at Suwanee, Florida. Don was born at Sunny Brae, NB, the son of Horace and Lillian Brown (Carter). He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Earl, Russell, Kenneth and sister, Helen. Survived by his loving wife, Catherine "Kay" (Fitzgerald) Brown; their children, David, Marlene Forbes (Doug), Edwinna Brown (Chris Kitching) and Victor; proud grandfather of Shawn, Claudia, John Donald, Sarah and Kyle; one great grandson Tyson. Don was employed with CNCP telecommunications until his retirement in 1986. An avid golfer; his many accomplishments included being a member of the NB Seniors Provincial Golf Team, a former member of the Mactaquac Advisory Board and numerous Club Championships. As a talented musician he enjoyed the company of those who shared his passion - Past Director of the River Valley Fiddlers; Honorary member St. Andrew's Society of Fredericton and through the years a member of various musical groups. Chosen to perform at Celtic Colours, Cape Breton was one of many highlights he was so deservingly proud of. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, March 5th, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate. Interment will be at a later date.
