Reginald "Jock" John Davidson

Reginald “Jock” John Davidson, 78, of Lakeside Manor, Lyon’s Brook, formerly of Stellarton, passed away Saturday, October 12th, 2008, at the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou. Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late Roy and Mary “Mae” (Peebles) Davidson. Jock served overseas in Germany for three years after the Second World War. He served in the Black Watch for five years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #28, Stellarton and was an avid card player. He is survived by sisters; Diana (Chris) Mannion, Westville; Inez (Joe) Murphy, Augusta, ME; Agnes White, New Glasgow; brother; Leonard Davidson, Riverton; several nieces and nephews; special friend; Frances Robinson; special thanks to his long time crib partner; George MacKay. He was predeceased by sisters; Ruby Cioffi; Mary MacLean; Josephine Mackay; brothers; Eugene “Jeep”; Cpl. Thomas Davidson. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. John Roy officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jock may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
