WALL, CHARLES HERBERT Charles Herbert Wall, passed away March 3, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a brief illness with cancer. Charles was born April 6, 1923 in Cornwall, England, the son of Herbert Arthur Wall and Ethel May (Pope) Wall. He was predeceased by his parents; wife Eleanor May (Chase) Wall; his sister Sylvia Black; and brothers-in-law John Black and Percy Wasson. He is survived by his children, Carol (Richard) McArthur, Beverley (Terry) Seely, Monica (Hugh) Currie, Marsha, Kim (Ron Collette) Wall; two sons, Edwin (Margaret) and Roland (Ann); 12 grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Wall, Patrick (Marcie) Wall, Dana (Tally) Wall, Joshua (Vicki) Wall, Shyla Wall, Deidre and Lindsay Currie, Kaelyn and Bailey Merrithew, Brent (Cindy) McArthur, all of Fredericton, NB, and Trent (Deborah) McArthur of British Columbia, Richard (Theresa) McArthur of Manitoba; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ada Wasson of Toronto, ON; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend Rita Morgan. Charles was a long-time truck driver. He worked for many years at York Steel and with Chippin Brothers. After his retirement, he volunteered with the Fredericton Soup Kitchen and served on its Board of Directors. He was a member and past president of the Silver Dolphin Swim Club. He enjoyed bowling at Kingswood every Friday morning and coffee with "the boys" at the Coffee Mill every Thursday. He spent his summers at Everett's Campground where he enjoyed boating, campfires and potluck suppers. He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane, Fredericton. Visitation will take place Saturday from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. A Funeral service will be held Monday, March 7th, 2005 at 2 pm from the First Wesleyan Church, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating and Rev. Peter Beckwith assisting. Interment will take place at Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. At the request of the family, no flowers please; instead memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the First Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane, Fredericton.
