SCOTT, RONALD The death of Ronald Scott occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on March 6th, 2005. Born at Kirkcaldy, Scotland on June 11th, 1927, he was the son of the late William and Amelia (Robertson) Scott and husband of Suzanne (Trembley) Scott. Ron worked for Pratt and Whitney and Union Carbide in Montreal before moving to Fredericton. Ron loved music and sang with the Montreal Welsh Choir for many years. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, one daughter, Shona Powley (Donald) of Ormstown, Quebec; one son, Andrew David Scott (Sharon) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Evan and Emily Scott; three sisters, Mairi Christine Shea (Jay) of Philadelphia, Wilma Stewart-White (David) of Mahone Bay, NS and Louise Scott-Murphy (Kenneth) of Oakville, Ontario and nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11th, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Christ Church Cathedral. The Very Rev. Keith Joyce will officiate. For those who wish memorial tributes made to the Fredericton Emergency Shelter or Christ Church Cathedral Restoration Fund would be appreciated by the family.
