1931-2008 Robert L. Bouchie, age 77 of Riverton, passed away December 25, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Steve and Emma (Gillis) Bouchie. He lived most of his life in Riverton. He was retired after working at NS Power Plant in Trenton for 35 years. Robert loved hunting, fishing and camping, he was also proud of his only grandchild, Arianna Mary Smith. Robert is survived by his wife, Maxine (Smith), daughter Nicole (Steven) Smith, Riverton, and daughter, Barbara Bouchie, Stellarton, sisters: Helen (Bob) MacRae, Riverton; Marie (Charlie) Benjamin, Mark Road; Margaret (Hughie) MacGregor, MacLellan’s Brook; Elizabeth (Leonard) Delany, Moncton; Gerri (Ty) Kalinovich, Grimsby, ON; Louise (Gerry) Breton, Hamilton; Pat (Dave) Caudwell, Ontario. He was predeceased by sisters: Jean, Stephanie, Simone, and Evelyn in infancy, brothers, Charlie and Gerard. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery Fund, the Nova Scotia Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
