WINDSCHITL, STEPHANIE (PEACOCK) Stephanie (Peacock) Windschitl, 45 of Fort Frances, ON, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at her home on Sunday, April 3, 2005. Born in Saint John, NB, she graduated from Saint John High in 1977 and went on to study at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB, receiving her music degree, majoring in piano performance, in 1981. She also attended Confederation College in Thunder Bay focussing on performing arts management. Her career in Thunder Bay began with a posting as organist/choir director at St. Paul's Anglican Church and teaching piano at her private studio. She accompanied professional musicians and was accompanist for the Lakehead University Vocal Ensemble under Allan Bevan. She moved to the Rainy River District in 1991 settling in Emo where she continued her studies in piano with Dr. Patricia Laliberte at the U. of Minnesota. She was in demand throughout the district as a teacher, accompanist and harpist and was currently the organist / choir director at St. John's Anglican Church in Fort Frances. Stephanie was predeceased by her father Henry Peacock; her sister Jill Suzanne, and an infant brother. She is survived by her husband and best friend Rick and daughter Melinda both of Fort Frances; her mother Willa Peacock of Fredericton; and her brother Charles of Cap Pele, NB; also her mother-in-law and father-in-law Margaret and Walter Windschitl of Sleepy Eye, MN. Stephanie will also be sadly missed by her aunts, uncles and many cousins. Memorial services were held on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Anglican Church in Fort Frances, Ontario with Father Wayne McIntosh officiating.
