TRENTON - Robina "Ruby" Burns, age 81, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of 49 Chestnut Street, Trenton, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born August 10, 1925, in Scotland, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Smith) Allan, Antigonish. She emigrated to Canada in 1926. Ruby was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. Her family was truly blessed to share a wonderful life with her. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Ruby is survived by daughters, Mary Leslie, Trenton; Janet (Cliff) Cameron, New Glasgow; son, Robert (Wendy) Burns, Trenton; grandchildren: Annette (Kevin) Gouthro, Robert Leslie, Forrest Jenkins, and great-grandson, Luke Joseph Gouthro; sisters, Nora Polley, Trenton; Doris Vinall, Hamilton, Ont.; brother, Elgin Allan, New Glasgow. She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson Joseph Burns; sister, Mary (William) Stapleton; brothers, John and Robert in their infancy. No visitation by request. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Friday in Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton with Father Colin MacKinnon officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please.
